Today is National Librarian Day and we want to recognize our outstanding librarians.
Mrs. McCoy (LES) and Mrs. McDonald (LHS)

Today, we would like to extend our appreciation to our paraprofessionals at Larimore Public Schools. Your dedication and support are invaluable to our students and staff. Thank you for all that you do to make our school a wonderful place for everyone.

Larimore hosted the 2nd Annual Junior High Band Day, bringing together 7th and 8th graders (plus some enthusiastic 6th graders!) from Midway, Minto, and Larimore for a day of collaboration and music-making.
Students spent the morning in rehearsals with their directors, working hard to prepare for an afternoon concert performed for grades 3-12 and members of the community. Congratulations to all the students who participated! Thank you to our directors, schools, and community for supporting this wonderful event.

Recently, LHS 7th graders wrapped up a unit focused on learning about the intricacies of ecosystems and how the dynamics of a properly balanced food chain means sustainability for all living things. Students examined the Yellowstone ecosystem and learned about the impact that removing the wolves had there. Students investigated data and applied their understanding to also gauge the impact the reintroduction of the wolves has had in Yellowstone park. To further show their understanding of these topics students were tasked with creating a a shoebox biorama modeling certain biomes. Students had to show a potential food web as well as biotic and abiotic factors found in that biome. Along with some written explanations, this creative work was displayed for others to view. Great job, 7th graders!
